Rules and regulations of participation in organized events as part of Gdynia Design Days:

One of the main values of Gdynia Design Days is to ensure a friendly atmosphere for all recipients of the events organized as part of the festival. We will make every effort to ensure that everyone participating in the festival feels safe. In order to avoid undesirable behavior, we ask everyone to read the terms and conditions of the Gdynia Design Days festival, which is held live and online.

§1
General information
1. The Rules and regulations define the rules for participation in live and online events organized as part of the Gdynia Design Days festival organized by the Pomeranian Science and Technology Park Gdynia | Design Centre, a budget unit of the Gdynia City Commune, with its
headquarters in Gdynia at al. Zwycięstwa 96/98, hereinafter referred to as the Organizer.
2. The aim of the events organized by the Organizer is to develop the skills of designing, transforming and implementing projects in the field of contemporary forms of design as well as supporting the development and promotion of creative sectors in the city, Pomeranian region and the Baltic Sea area.

§2
Rules for the operation of the online part of the festival
1. The events organized as part of Gdynia Design Days are open, with the exception of the additional events which may be paid events with separate regulations of participation.
2. Information about the events organized as part of the festival is available on the website www.gdyniadesigndays.eu. One of the website's functionalities is the possibility of creating a User Account ("My GDD"), in accordance with the regulations available at www.gdyniadesigndays.eu.
3. As part of the free service of maintaining a User Account ("My GDD"), the User may:
a. access the Profile, which he can manage on his own (including access to payment history / preview of the basket / preview of orders) and to other services available on gdyniadesigndays.eu, unless the Rules and regulations of a given service provide otherwise (services provided on www.gdyniadesigndays.eu, to which the User gains access after creating a User Account, are described in the Rules and regulations of a given event; in the event of a conflict between these Rules and regulations and other Rules and regulations of a given service, the provisions contained in the Rules and regulations of a given service shall prevail in relation to issues related to a given service; These regulations are available on the websites operating in connection with a given service);
b. purchase the tickets for paid events;
c. access the registration for free events;
d. create a personalized calendar of GDD events (adding events to your favorites);
4. The events are addressed to all people interested in the subject matter, including students, graduates, doctoral students, freelancers and entrepreneurs.
5. The Organizer reserves the right to change the date of the events without giving a reason. Information about the change of the date will be sent by e-mail to the address provided by the Participant during registration.
6. The Participant is obliged to:
6.1. behave in a manner respecting the rules of the so-called Netiquette, i.e. prohibition of writing profanity, prohibition of spamming in the chat of the event and sending links not related in any way to the event and its subject matter, prohibition of provoking other participants and arguing, prohibition of overusing punctuation and capital letters, prohibition of flooding, i.e. sending the same messages in a short period of time, prohibition of expressing racist, xenophobic views or those that in any way attack minority groups and offensive comments related to the subject of gender, gender identity, age, sexual orientation, disability, appearance, race, religion and those that could offend other participants of the event;
6.2. follow the instructions of the Organizer and the event moderator;
6.3. report the users who explicitly violate the rules to the Moderator or Organizer of the event, regardless of whether the harassment relates directly to the reporting person or other users.
7. The Organizer reserves the right to remove Participants from the events behaving in a way that:
7.1. disturbs order and violates the generally accepted norms of behavior described in the previous point;
7.2. violates the rules of personal culture and disturbs other Participants in receiving the event.
8. The Participant transfers to the Organizer the proprietary copyrights, including the right to consent to the exercise of derivative copyrights referred to in Art. 2 and art. 46 of the Act on Copyright and Related Rights in all fields of exploitation referred to in Art. 50 of the Act on Copyright and Related Rights of 1994 to the effects of works created during the Events, in the case of the Festival, this may include the form of active participation in workshops and commenting on lectures in the public forum.
9. The Participant agrees that the copyrights to any alterations and adaptations (including the right to use and dispose of them) will be the exclusive property of the Organizer in all fields of use referred to in Art. 50 of the Act on Copyright and Related Rights of 1994.
10. The Organizer has the right to retain the works, materials in draft versions, 3D files, photo and text files, publication of video recordings from online events and make them available in the form of podcasts and regardless of the form of their fixation, the ownership of which is transferred to the Organizer free of charge upon completion. events.
11. In the event that third parties make claims against the Organizer for infringement of copyrights or personal rights of third parties related to the work resulting from work during the events, the Participant shall cover the costs and pay compensation related to the claims of such persons.
12. Without prejudice to the rights of the organizer, the participant may publicly refer to and present works created during the events in an unlimited territory and time.

§3
Rules for participation in stationary events
1. It is forbidden to touch the exhibits at the exhibitions.
2. There will be a possibility of eating and drinking in designated places at the event site. Participants are required to throw away waste in designated places and return the dishes made available against a deposit from the gastronomic stalls.
3. The Participant is obliged to behave in a manner that does not endanger the safety of other Participants, in particular to comply with health and safety regulations and fire regulations.
4. The Organizer reserves the right to remove Participants from the events behaving in a way that:
• threatens the safety of other Participants,
• disturbs order and violates generally accepted norms of behavior in public places
• violates the rules of personal culture and disturbs other Participants in the reception of events
5. The participant should react to the attention of the people watching the exhibition, the Organizers or the security of PPNT Gdynia every time. People who do not follow the guidelines of the above-mentioned people will be asked to leave the events.
6. The Organizer reserves the right to refuse participation in the event to persons under the influence of intoxicants or alcohol.
7. Parents/guardians who come to shows with children are obliged to supervise the observance of the Regulations by minors.

§4
Rules for participation in events "Walks"
1. Prior registration is required for participation in the event via the application form available on the website www.gdyniadesigndays.eu.
2. A person under the age of 18 may take part in the events only with the consent of their legal guardians.
3. The Organizer reserves the right to change the dates of the events without giving a reason. Information about the change of the date will be sent by e-mail to the address provided by the Participant during registration.
4. The number of people on each walk is limited to 30 people.
5. Walks take place in places indicated by the Organizer under the guidance of guides appointed by the Organizer.
6. Walk participants are required to follow the instructions and instructions of the guides appointed by the Organizer.

§5 Rules for participation in events "First Steps"
1. Participation in the First Steps event organized as part of the festival is subject to a fee.
2. First Steps will take place on June 27-28 at the Pomeranian Science and Technology Park.
3. There is 1 type of ticket available for the First Steps event for PLN 249.00.
4. Registration for the event will be available on the Organizer's website using the evenea.pl
platform.
5. It is not possible to resign from participation in the event after registration and payment.
6. The participant has the right to transfer his ticket to a third party, after informing the Organizer of such intention at the e-mail address: centrumdesignu@ppnt.pl, no later than a week before the planned event.
7. If the event date is changed, the participant is entitled to a refund of the fee.

§6
Liability and compensation
1. The Organizer does not insure the participants of the events and is not responsible for any damage: loss, defect, damage to equipment, clothing and other items belonging to the Participant.
2. The event Participant is liable if the Organizer suffers losses as a result of his negligence.

§7
Processing of personal data and image
1. The GDPR information clause regarding the processing of personal data can be found at www.gdyniadesigndays.eu at the time of creating a User Account.
2. Please be advised that during the events organized or co-organized by PPNT Gdynia | Design Centre, due to the nature of the events and their scale, there is a possibility of photos or videos in which the image of the people present can be captured being made and then processed and made public. Persons who do not consent (the consent will be collected directly from the participants) for the processing of their image or want to withdraw the consent previously submitted are asked to report this fact directly to the Organizer before the event / workshop starts, etc. Further participation in the event / workshop etc. without the above notification The Administrator will treat it as a clear action confirming the consent to the processing of your image.

§8
Final Provisions
1. The Organizer is not responsible for the consequences of force majeure. Force majeure is in particular: failures or disruptions in the operation of electricity supply devices, interruptions in Internet supply, military operations, natural disasters and other natural disasters.
2. These Regulations are available on the website www.gdyniadesigndays.eu.
3. These Regulations shall enter into force on May 15, 2025.
