FALA
FALA is a Gdansk-based architecture and research studio founded by Kamila Szatanowska and Paulina Rogalska in 2018. The impetus for its creation was winning the international ‘Iceland Northern Lights Rooms’ competition. Kamila and Paulina first met at their Alma Mater – Gdansk University of Technology – studying architecture and urban planning. They gained experience, among others, in the projects of the Jozef Pilsudski Museum in Sulejówek or the reconstruction of the historic Gdańsk Główny Railway Station. Currently, FALA implements private and public architecture projects, designs exhibitions and educates on circular, synesthetic and interspecies design. Since 2024, Kamila and Paulina have been teaching at the Architecture of Cultural Spaces course at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk.
FALA is a winner of international and local architectural competitions, an activist and nature lover. She is currently focusing on interdisciplinary design in the context of progressive climate change. The designer's main field of interest is the search for solutions, materials and the role of the architect in this place and time, in an era of ecosystem, social and cultural change.
