Maria Bąk
Artist and designer by education. She holds a degree in product design from the Academy of Art in Szczecin and a degree in ceramic art and design from the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław. She completed a residency at Modus Design Studio in Ćmielów under the guidance of world-renowned designer Marek Cecuła. She also participated in a student exchange program at the Muthesius University of Fine Arts and Design in Germany, where she studied artistic ceramics. She currently works for the Danish ceramic workshop K.H. Würtz, where she supports the production of existing designs and the development of new collections in the spirit of Scandinavian design. Maria is well-versed in various ceramic production methods – from traditional wheel-throwing to mold casting and 3D printing. In her practice, she combines techniques, experiments, and explores new modes of creation. She constantly seeks out innovation and isn’t afraid to bring craft together with modern technologies. Her works have been featured in exhibitions such as: Villa The Ende (Gallery Weekend Berlin), The Happy Don’t Count Time (Łódź Design Festival), Baltic Home (Szczecin), European Ceramic Context 2024 (Bornholm).
