About:
Who will we become, and what will matter to us in a world that never slows down? The exhibition The Art of Aging is an attempt to look into our collective future and the ageing of societies through the lens of art, design, innovation, and personal stories.
The Art of Aging is an exhibition that addresses one of the greatest challenges facing contemporary societies: an aging population. According to UN forecasts, by 2050, people over the age of 60 will make up more than 20% of the global population, and in Poland, this share is expected to reach 40% by 2035. Aging is a process that will inevitably touch each of us.
The exhibition invites reflection on how we can design spaces that promote activity and social integration among older adults, enabling them to fully participate in community life. It showcases how diverse disciplines — from architecture and design to technology — can respond to the needs of seniors, recognizing their creative potential and the value of their lived experience. It encourages us to ask: what does it mean to age well?
It is also an exhibition about care — for the body, for relationships, for independence. About design that supports without stigmatizing. Aging does not strip us of personality, and maturity can be full of dignity, freedom, and humor. In an aging society, this is not a niche issue — it is our shared future. Through exhibits such as Integrated Cutlery for Seniors, the Aging Simulator, and innovative mobility-supporting designs, we aim to inspire action now.
We do not offer ready-made solutions, but rather create space for dialogue. We leave room for questions — about ourselves, our loved ones, and the world we want to co-create in the later stages of life
