About:

This exhibition explores the transformative power of design in shaping a better society. Featuring pioneering projects from the Taiwan Design Research Institute (TDRI).

Design Impact – Taiwan’s Public Innovation through Design highlights the pivotal role of design and design thinking in advancing public services, education, urban development, and democratic engagement. The exhibition demonstrates how design thinking serves as a powerful tool for translating policy into tangible solutions, revitalizing urban environments, reimagining educational systems, and fostering civic participation.

Exhibition partner: Taiwan Design Research Institute

TDRI is a quasi-governmental organization dedicated to advancing Taiwan’s national design development. The mission is to strengthen Taiwan’s global competitiveness, promote sustainability in both industry and society, and enhance quality of life through design-driven innovation. By bridging design with public systems and policy, TDRI leverages design thinking to move toward a more inclusive, responsive, and forward-thinking society.

The exhibition is presented on display stands of the Gdańsk Archipelago of Culture as part of the collaboration within the network of Green Institutions of the Tricity and Pomerania.
